This shower was so fun to put together because it was for one of my dearest friends. She is having "Baby Shepherd" in a few weeks and we wanted to do everything we could to honor this new mama! I styled this shower to look glamorous but I wanted it to have rusticity to bring some "Boyish" charm into the mix. Aubrey loves gold, bronze and brown so I wanted everything to look like something she would want to take home and put right in her nursery or in her house. I think we pulled it off because she showed up with an outfit that matched the shower PERFECTLY! Believe me when I say I know this girl very well!
To start off we did a fabulous "HOT COCOA" bar with every topping you could imagine; Peppermints, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, whip cream, heath chips, peppermint syrup, raspberry syrup, caramel syrup and of course marshmallows!
Wooden spoons from Garnish that I dipped in white chocolate and milk chocolate and then used a stamp and jewels to "glam" them up! Turned out pretty cute and were great stirring utensils.
White chocolate marshmallow pops with gold glitter (glitter purchased at Hobby Lobby).
This was one of my favorite parts.. I had been brainstorming like CRAZY trying to come up with something ORIGINAL for a baby shower activity. I bought these paper mache boxes and had my friend Emily work her magic on these plain boxes. They turned out cuter than I imagined! Everyone wrote little notes to Baby Shepherd on the building blocks and one day they will be a great toy for the baby and also they can be used as cute nursery decor!
Aubrey collects crosses so my gift to her was a custom cross made by Gibson Gals Creations and they did a fabulous job! I told her the colors of her nursery and they took it and ran with it.
My friend cut these wood stumps for me and they turned out GORGEOUS! Stay tuned because I am going to pitch an idea to you all.. Remember these wooden stumps!
Dessert Bar.... Feather boas from Save on Crafts and lace fabric from a flea market. I loved how the backdrop turned out.
Rustic wooden shelf was a 4$ flea market find.
Edible gold beads
Cinnamon Toast Trifle... Posting this recipe at a different time. It was ridiculously good. Trifle bowls from Sur La Table.
Wooden spoons from Garnish and I of course Bedazzled them using scrapbook gems from Hobby Lobby.
Gold tree candle holder filled with bronze, red velvet cake balls. They were scrumptious! The candle holder is from T.J. Maxx. (These were supposed to be Bedazzled Bon Bons but with our crazy winter storm here they were stuck in Florida! One of our local bakeries, Rick's Bakery came to the rescue last minute.)
Brownie bites with homemade chocolates made by me! It was super easy and I'll definitely do a tutorial.
Party Favors... Glass mugs from the Dollar tree filled with a scrumptious recipe for Hot Chocolate and a wooden spoon dipped in chocolate. (Spoons from Garnish with some added glam and bedazzle!) The tag reads, "May every sip bring you joy and remind you to pray for the "Smith" little boy".
That concludes the "Rustic Glam" shower! It was such a fun shower that came together beautifully. I will post a few other follow up posts to share more details, recipes and tutorials.
Thank you to all the wonderful girls for all your help! It was so fun working with all of you!
Love you so much Aubrey! Can't wait for Baby Shepherd to arrive!

Saw this at Celebrations at Home and HAD to see the rest! ALL the edibles remind me of vintage brooches, not candy!
Everything you did is adorable! It looks like a lovely party that turned out fabulous!
Where did you get the cocoa mixes that were in the mugs to take home? Cute idea.
You did so good with this shower! I know Aubrey had to have felt so special! I am glad I got to be there to see all this and to get one of those yummy spoons!
Yes, saw this too at Celebrations at Home...and now seeing even more of the details here is absolutely amazing! As I commented to Chris, this look would translate fabulously to a bridal shower party, too.

Thanks for all your sweet comments! I loved putting this shower together. I got the birdhouse shelf at T.J. Maxx about two months back.
My sisters and I just looked at this on-line while we were dreaming about me one day having my own little one....I have to say that we were blown away by how spectacular everything looked. Gorgeous!
